The Chow Kit Hotel
The Chow Kit Hotel is a new, simplified, luxury boutique located deep in the heart of old Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia; an area famously rich in character and history. Both the architecture and interiors of The Chow Kit were developed by Brooklyn-based design practice, Studio Tack. It was inspired by the late-night revelry that lurked in the shadows of Chow Kit’s alleys and bars in the 1970s and 1980s. The building façade was constructed in unitised curtain wall system combining aluminium frame window and precast GFRC panels in factory. LUXBEE manufactured and supplied all the pre-casted GFRC panels with red brick colour pigment. Even though there are over 900 pieces of GFRC panels, the site installation was completed within four and a half month only.
