Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)

Glass Reinforce Concrete (GRC)

Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC), also known as Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC), is composed of Portland cement, silica fine sand, water, chemical admixtures and alkaline resistant glass fibres. The fibres serve a purpose similar to the reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete, which is placed primarily in tensile stress areas. The fibres will increase the tensile and impact strength, it also increase the flexibility of concrete, creating a lightweight but robust material that can be moulded and cast into almost any shape or structure.

Products manufactured from Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) all share the same characteristics that very few, if any, other cladding materials can match. Depending upon the performance requirements, a range of matrix modifiers such as acrylic polymers, rapid set cements and addictive are used to improve the long-term stability of the materials. Besides that, Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) is an environmental friendly composite, with its low consumption of energy and natural raw materials. Other important characteristics of many fibre-reinforced composites are their noncorroding behaviour, high damping capacity and low coefficients of thermal expansion.

The use of Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) is only limited to imagination. It is a great option for architects and engineers to design cladding system in fine details, intricate patterns and three dimensional elements. Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) is mainly used in exterior building because of its weathering characteristics. The unique versatility and flexibility allow Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) to be moulded or casted into any forms and shapes. Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) can be used in diverse design range; from classical architectural to contemporary futuristic depending on the innovation, inspiring shapes and structures design. However, Glass Fibre Reinforce Concrete (GFRC) is not only restricted to new designs; it is also excellent for reproduction and renovation.

EPS Polymer Concrete (EPC)

LUXBEE – EPS Polymer Concrete (LB-EPC) formally known as EIFS is prefabricated cementitious compound coated on preformed Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS) foam aesthetic substrate for decorative applications.

This system is made of composite material integrating Firerated Expanded Polystyrene Foam core (F-EPS), Alkali Resistance Fibreglass Reinforcing Mesh, and high performance polymerised latex cementitious coating. The base coat holds the EPS layer together. the reinforcing mesh gives the base coat its strength and resistance to damage. the EPS insulation acts as thermal insulation and as a buffer between the coatings and the substrate.

When a fire-rated EPS is exposed to temperatures above 85°C, it begins to soften. Under fire condition, a F-EPS will melt, but it would not spread fire like typical combustible material. The burning will stop once the fire source is removed.

Polycrete

Polycrete is a prefabricated cementitious compound coated on a composite material that are blended together with EPS beads aesthetic substrate for decorative applications.

It is a particularly lightweight concrete with a rigid structure on the outside and porous structure on the inside. Polycrete has increased insulation properties, and because it’s up to 70 percent lighter than traditional mix concrete, it needs smaller structural support such as foundation sizes and steel reinforcement requirements.

Like EPC, polycrete is tested with BS476 : Part 6:1989+A1:2009 and BS 476 : Part 7:1997 certified as Class 1 material.

Compressed PVC Board (CPVC)

Compressed PVC Board, CPVC also known as celuka board and compressed foam board is a high technology product produced from eco-friendly foam extrusion and moldings which are lead-free, acid-free and nontoxic. The green foam product has passed the tests of SGS and AStM and has already been sold to over 80 countries around the world.

It is a versatile, fire retardant, durable yet lightweight and easy to install product which will not rot, warp or delaminated. The nature of this product can withstand to rough weather, shocks, abrasions and salt water corrosion. the remnants of this material are recyclable and thus reducing waste.

LB-CPVC are resistant to mold and are workable and good as wood works furniture due to its nontoxic and fire retardant properties. Using a state of the art CNC machine, it is precisely cut into decorative preformed shape.
